For the first half of the school, each DTS participates in shared lectures with a range of topics from speakers from around the world.
The Freedom & Justice DTS has weekly break-out sessions as well as a weeklong intensive set aside to address the issue of human trafficking, and how men and women are being enslaved in the city of Colorado Springs and around the world. We will be exploring what it means for these men and women to walk in true freedom. We will learn about God’s heart for freedom through first-hand experience in local outreach, field trips to local businesses and anti-trafficking organizations, as well as our own experiences and dreams. God has called us to partner with him to see the captives set free! Come join us for a time of encountering God’s heart for the exploited and vulnerable, be activated into the call of God on your life to be an ambassador of freedom!
Finally, each DTS comes together and prayerfully splits up into teams to be then sent to the nations. Students spend the remaining months overseas reflecting Jesus’ call to ‘GO’. In teams across the 10/40 window students are given the opportunity to explore and apply all they learned in the lecture phase. It’s a great opportunity to begin implementing and further exploring the gifts God has given you.
