The School of Strategic Missions (SOSM) is a course designed for students to develop perspective, strategies, and a deeper understanding of how to reach the unreached world. Just like lawyers have law school and doctors have med school, consider this mission school for your holistic mission training. We serve an excellent God who is committed to the development of each worker and the community in which they live and serve. Therefore, we believe we should work with intentionality and excellence on His behalf. In the SOSM, relevant Speakers teach a variety of topics with a Biblical worldview in effort to help make you an effective worker in the mission field. By developing an attitude of being a life-long learner, you will learn to understand and reach the nations by thinking critically and creatively through the course content like community transformation and development, Biblical worldview, pioneering, church planting, mobilization, and more. The course is creating a transformational missions culture in each student as we experience and learn in this course.
In a team or in an individual internship, you will partner with long-term workers in a nation among the least reached peoples of the world to apply classroom principles and Christ’s compassion to see the nations transformed for the glory of God.
Most days you will have lecture, work duties, and school activities. There are also weekly corporate worship and intercession times. Your weekends may have some school activities but will generally be free for you to explore the city and take time to rest.
