THE LECTURE PHASE

DTS begins with 12 weeks of intensive discipleship on our campus in Colorado Springs. You and your classmates (every DTS electives comes together for lecture) will explore a range of topics taught by guest speakers from all around the world. Each week will take you deeper in your relationship with God, grow your life and character, and equip you for the adventure of making disciples in all nations.

Topics include:

  • The Father Heart of God

  • Holy Spirit

  • Recognizing the Voice of God

  • Nature and Character of God

  • Relationships

  • Biblical Basis for Missions

THE OUTREACH PHASE

After your 12-week lecture phase, your DTS will head off in different teams for a three-month outreach.

You apply what you have learned and show the love and hope of Christ through evangelism and mercy ministries because we want to care for people’s spiritual and physical needs the way Jesus did.

Some opportunities include: teaching English, working with orphans and widows, serving in refugee camps, anti-human/sex trafficking efforts, front-line worker support, and more.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Your final week of DTS will be spent back in Colorado Springs, debriefing and getting ready for all God has next for you. Once you’ve finished DTS, you have an open door into further training and ministry within YWAM, both in Colorado Springs and internationally. There are endless opportunities and we’d love to help you find them.

DTS ELECTIVES

At YWAM COS we offer different types of weekly DTS breakout sessions based on what you are interested in focusing on. During the main lectures, you will learn together as one body but at the end of the week you will break out into your “electives” and participate in that specific group.

Different electives run at different times and costs will vary: click the links below to learn more!
