The Identity and Calling elective has weekly break-out sessions as well as a full week dedicated to discovering your God-given identity and purpose. The goal is to help develop students understanding of who they are and what God has called them to out of a relationship with Him. Have you ever felt that your life was meant to be lived for something significant? Have you known you were created to make a difference but not known exactly how? The Identity and Calling focus is crafted to help you answer these questions by engaging with your Heavenly Father and asking Him why He has you on the earth at this point in His story.

The Worship DTS has weekly break-out sessions as well as a week-long intensive set aside to focus on skills such as musicianship, songwriting, leading a team, vocal technique, media presentation, sound, copyright, and a variety of other topics. While hearing about these topics is foundational, actually doing them is vital. You will be directly involved with our campus worship times from the preparation of worship set lists, to scheduling, to sound, to the stage.

The goal is to teach using a hands-on approach that is beneficial whether you continue in missions or go back to your local church.

With the amount of time that young people spend on their phones, we believe that we can use social media is an extremely important avenue to reach a global audience to spread a message about missions and the gospel. Cultivate your creative skills in visual storytelling and influence the world through media for God’s glory! Everyone has a story to tell. Learn how to do it well, with a Kingdom focus.

The Media elective has weekly break-out sessions as well as a week-long intensive, set aside to explore techniques to use media to tell God’s story. We go over photography, videography, and editing, with an emphasis on creating engaging content. We teach techniques and tips to create quality media. Students will work individually and in teams to create multiple photo and video projects.

Who says you can’t take the gospel to the trails? Who’s going to reach the people in the difficult mountain ranges of the world? Who will learn how to help a hurt person in the wilderness? Who will dare explore with the one who created it all? Let’s do it! Be ready for intense physical exercise, learning new ways to have fun outside, finding God in nature, and exploring this beautiful earth He created.

The Adventure elective has weekly break-out sessions as well as a week-long intensive set aside to explore the many adventurous outdoor opportunities that Colorado has to offer! We will be engaging with God while participating in physical activities such as rock climbing, camping, mountaineering, mountain biking, hiking, camping, white water rafting and other awesome outdoor endeavors. We will be learning more about what it looks like to abide with God even in our passions. God gave us those passions so let’s learn how to invite Him into the adventures we love going on. 

The Business as Mission elective has weekly break-out sessions as well as a week-long intensive set aside to learn about the Business As Mission (BAM) movement and the strategic role it is playing in missions today. We will also explore the scriptures to understand God's design for business and its potential to bring transformation to the spiritual, social, and physical foundations of a community. We will visit BAM businesses in the area and get some real experience doing business.

The Burning Ones elective is focused on radical faith flowing out from intimacy with God. Focuses are ministering to the heart of God through passionate worship, fervent intercession, radical acts of obedience, and boldly proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Burning Ones DTS has 4 pillars of emphasis in which students will be trained, equipped, and launched into: Worship, prayer and intercession, proclamation of the gospel and intimacy with God

In this hands-on training, you’ll learn how to internalize (not just memorize) some of the most powerful parables and real-life moments from Scripture—so you can share them naturally with adults, teens, and kids in a way that actually resonates.
You'll explore creative ways to use media, video, and storytelling to communicate the Gospel in everyday conversations—whether you're overseas or just hanging out with friends. And bonus: as you're learning how to share the Bible with others, you’ll find the stories come alive for you, too. Experience both the Old and New Testaments in a fresh, meaningful way that
goes deeper than reading alone ever could
