MEDIA ELECTIVE
THE LECTURE PHASE
For the first half of the school, each DTS participates in shared lectures with a range of topics from speakers from around the world.
The Media DTS has weekly break-out sessions as well as a week-long intensive set aside to explore techniques to use media to tell God’s story. We will go over photography, video, and editing, with an emphasis on videography. We will teach techniques and tips to create quality media. We will work individually and in teams to create multiple video and photography projects to develop your skills and learn how to serve God using media. It’s our heart to influence the world of media with God’s glory. Everyone has a story to tell. Learn how to do it well and with a Kingdom focus.
THE OUTREACH PHASE
Finally, each DTS comes together and prayerfully splits up into teams to be then sent to the nations. You will spend the remaining months overseas reflecting Jesus’ call to ‘GO’. In teams, you are given the opportunity to explore and apply all they learned in the lecture phase. It’s a great opportunity to begin implementing and further exploring the gifts God has given you.
