Devastation in Nepal

Severe flash flooding and landslides have caused widespread devastation in Nepal, with scores killed and hundreds still missing. The death toll continues to rise as rescue and recovery efforts are hindered by limited connectivity, power, and resources. (source: Nuwakot district)

The U.S. Geological Survey reports that a glacial collapse and landslide contributed to the disaster. Additional landslides and monsoon storms remain a concern.
